Each year LA Downtown News would produce their Annual “Best Of…Summer Soiree” and “Downtowners of Distinction” awards to recognize Downtown Los Angeles top business owners and community leaders. Through my work with (213) Marketing, we developed and maintained the Custom Event Landing Pages and RSVP Guest List Management.

I worked with LA Downtown News under the previous ownership and management prior to Times Media Group.

Since 1972 Los Angeles Downtown News has been the voice of the Downtown community. Previously locally owned, Downtown News fills a unique and highly focused niche in the lives of the more than 150,000 readers.

Project: WSS Downtown LA Grand Opening

Through my work with (213) Marketing, I was commissioned to provide music and local marketing to our VIP network of DTLA tastemakers, sneaker-heads and influencers. We set up a custom RSVP microsite, sent out an e-mail and received over 200 VIP RSVP’s within 24 hours. For more information CLICK HERE

WSS hosted an exclusive event to celebrate its 30th anniversary and the grand opening of its flagship store located on 7th and Union in Downtown Los Angeles. In an effort to contribute to a neighborhood in transition, over $3M was invested in restoring the historic building. The event featured “View #23 Steps to Immortality”, WSS’ unique curation of original, mint condition Air Jordans 1 through 23. Guests were also treated to a gallery featuring one-of-a-kind shoes designed by leading and emerging LA artists set to the landscape of music, b-boy performances, beverages and appetizers.

Project: Ciroc VIP Afterparty (BETX 2014)

Through my work with (213) Marketing, I was contracted to co-produce an exclusive VIP Ciroc Sponsored Afterparty in Downtown Los Angeles, following the 2014 BET Awards at LA Live (6/29/14). My role included securing a venue, DJ talent, pre-event marketing, along with a custom RSVP event microsite, which included a customer survey for guests to list their favorite flavor of Ciroc.

In our post-event evaluation and marketing recap, we discovered a key customer feedback during the RSVP process, where guests listed “Pineapple” as their second most popular flavor, even though it was not a part of Ciroc product line. We turned over the customer feedback to the Ciroc executives and 3 months later, Pineapple Ciroc was launched.

Type: LA Nightlife Music Event Marketing and Promotion

I began producing events in Downtown Los Angeles back in 2007, before it was fully redeveloped. Over the years, I have seen many venues come and go. I am directly responsible for generating over $5 million in revenue through special and weekly event marketing, promotion, management and development. These events include an annual DTLA New Years Eve for Downtown LA Residents, which quickly became the most popular destination for DTLA locals regardless of the venue location. Featured Case Study Highlight:
Back in 2007, Downtown Los Angeles was NOT an entertainment destination for nightlife music events (other than concerts at LA Live). Even DTLA Residents would travel to Hollywood for their nightlife entertainment. I started a trend, which increased the visibility for DTLA as an influencer hot spot and music/lounge event destination.

This started with Seven Lounge (which has since been sold and renamed). In 2009, I launched a monthly hip-hop event series called Freedom of Beats at Seven Lounge. Through our custom MYVIPRSVP event site, which included a Google Map link to the venue, Seven Lounge became the most searched venue in Downtown Los Angeles. Google sent a letter and plaque to the venue, similar to YouTube Subscriber plaques that are currently given out to YouTube creators.

In 2009, Seven Lounge and Freedom of Beats became the most popular hip-hop event in Downtown Los Angeles.

Project: Downtown LA Motors – Porsche Dealership

Through my work with (213) Marketing and Shammas Group (client), which owned Porsche of Downtown LA and hosted an exclusive rooftop event at their dealership to unveil the new 2015 Porsche Macan SUV.

My role included supported the dealership executives by creating a custom invite, e-mail blast and RSVP site for the event. I also invited strategic partners, influencers and executives from the Downtown LA business community. Guests enjoyed a beautiful rooftop event and sneak preview of the new 2015 Porsche Macan, while being entertained by magicians, snake charmers, performers and singers.

Project: Drip Doctors – DTLA Flagship Location

Through my work with (213) Marketing, I helped the Drip Doctors team open their Downtown Los Angeles flagship location in the Spring of 2015, and continued working with them through 2016. Over the course of a year, I helped first time business owners go from an idea and empty space…to a thriving, successful and expanding brand. They went on to open additional locations in California and Nevada, before eventually being forced to close in early 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Drip Doctors (DTLA) was located on 11th & Hope in the Southpark District of Downtown Los Angeles.
